SB Architects originates from 2008 when Managing Director Stuart Bishop established SB Architecture & Design,  focusing on residential architecture across Scotland's central belt and successfully delivering over 300 projects.  In 2020, after several years as Architecture Director at Barton Willmore where Stuart led teams delivering large scale award winning projects, Stuart then rebranded as SBA and brought together a team with decades of experience in the successful delivery of  complex high quality projects.​

Stuart and the team have led on the design of numerous residential developments and masterplans, helping to deliver more than 5000 new homes of varying tenures across Scotland.  Building on this experience, we aim to deliver a high quality, professional and friendly service to our clients.  With a team that has decades of experience in the housing and commercial sectors, we adopt a commercially astute approach to design, with an understanding that pragmatic high quality architecture and urban design can be achieved alongside optimised commercial outcomes for stakeholders.  As a small business, we always have experienced team members at the helm of projects; not just as project managers, but also for the carrying out of day to day project tasks.  This ensures the highest quality of service is provided at every level of a project.
